It has been a pretty full week or so. Last week at a rehearsal I had a student come up to me saying she was seeing black, so I went to walk her off the field and she turned, looked at me, and then puked blood right in front of me three times. Then her mom asked if she should take her to the hospital....well duh! So that was exciting...
Then we were at the Merrillville Drum Corps show and it was stormed out so they had us stay on the buses until it was announced that the show was cancelled. So I got to sit on a bus with some sweaty wet high school students for about an hour and a half. That was a yummy time!
So, I was able to go home this weekend for the freedom festival and that was a lot of fun. I got to see my family, see some people that I had gone to high school with, and then hang out with my friends Karl and Jen who I met in college who now live in Greenwood and that was great.
Now I am back up north being housed by my friend Chris who I also went to college with and he's a middle school band director in Merrillville, IN and I have just been able to meet his girlfriend who seems to be pretty awesome, so I'm happy for them. So now I get to be here for 3 days before returning home for 2 days and then reporting to Terre Haute for the ISU Drum Major Clinic for the next week. Yes, yes I am keeping very busy, but my trip to Australia has to get paid off somehow right?!
Here are a couple pictures of the places that I've been staying. I normally add these on the first day I stay some place but I forgot to put the one from the house I've stayed at the past few weeks till now. I still have a dorm room to stay in next week, woo!
